Heading Back to the East Coast

So I'm currently packing my huge luggage to go home... not fun. I have tons of stuff. I hope it doesn't go over 50 lbs, but the bag is huge and I might have to pay a fee. Eh. Our flight is at 11:15 pm from San Francisco Int'l Airport and we'll be getting into Logan Int'l Airport at 7:45 am. It's a 5.5 hour flight, but due to the time change we get in that early. I believe Sean's brother is picking us up.

Anyways, we're going to be in Boston and then head back to CT sometime that day. Sean's cousin's wedding is on Saturday and my sister will be picking me up on Sunday night to go home. Sean's flying out on Monday, but I'll be on Long Island until September 1. I move back to Boston on September 2 and I start work on September 3. I volunteered to help out that weekend so I won't be charged a $250 early move in fee. Six hours vs. $250, I'll gladly volunteer. Okay, back to packing and preparing the BBQ for tonight.

L.A. - Day Three

Sunday was nice and leisurely. Fon took me to the nail salon across the road from their community entrance. I got my first pedicure ever. That was real nice. Next we (Bobby, Fon, Sean, Brianna, Judy and I) went to Glendale and visited the Americana Mall and the Glendale Galleria. It is a very nice area and a lot of expensive shops at the Americana. Brianna slept the entire ride and also while we were walking around for two hours. She finally woke up when we put her back into her car seat.

Next we went to Los Angeles and had authentic Mexican food at Olvera Street. We checked out the knick knacks that were on sale and also listened to some Latin music. We finally headed out to the airport around 6:30 pm. We said our good byes and exchanged hugs and kisses. Sean and I spent the next hour and a half eating and wandering the shops. What a nice vacation this has been!

We'll be headed back to Boston on Thursday night and then to Connecticut on Friday. Sean's cousin's wedding is on Saturday. My sister is picking me up from Sean's house on Sunday night and then I'll be home. The first time in 6 months. Sean is heading back to San Francisco Monday afternoon. It's quite sad since I won't be seeing him until October (if I can get tickets) if not, then when he comes home in December.

I sold my bike today. It's happening so fast. I'm getting a pedicure/manicure tomorrow and a new haircut on Thursday. I'll post up the before photos and the after photos when we get to Connecticut. Until the next big thing.

An excited 2-year-old?

Sean's in the back row because we took turns.

Judy, Brianna and Me
I love her "smile." If you want a more natural one you'll have to catch her while she's happy.

L.A. - Day Two

Saturday was spent at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. We played with Brianna in the kids area for a bit and then decided to go on most of the water slides. This place was awesome. I love water parks. We have one back on Long Island called Splish Splash and it is always packed. Good thing Judy lives 5 minutes from the park. We have to come back again and go in the Six Flags Magic Mountain park.

After getting home we took a shower and headed out to go cosmic bowling and play some billards. Fon and Bobby beat us in bowling. Bobby's really good. Lots of strikes from the boys that night. Billards was another story. Sean's real good and I'm pretty decent. Fon's never really played and Bobby is good, too. We came stumbling home around 2 am and Sean and I stayed up chatting until 3:30 am.

Every morning I get woken up at 7:30 am from Brianna's crying. I would play with her until Fon wakes up and takes charge. It's exhausting. Entertaining babies is a full time job.

Putting on my glasses. Yes, Fon and I were sober the entire night.

Ah yes, it's us!

L.A. - First Night and Day One

We took the American Airlines Flight 1957 to Los Angeles on August 14, 2008. The flight was on time. It took off at 8:50 pm and landed at 9:45 pm. Waiting to pick us up from the airport was my friend, Fon, and her husband, Bobby. I've known Fon since we were 10-years-old. That's 12 years of friendship. Wow. A very long time. Anyways, they took us to Bobby's mom's house in Valencia. Judy's house is awesome. It's part of a gated community with townhouses. They have a recreation center with a pool and spa. Five minutes away from her house is Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor. Sweet.

When we went in Brianna woke up and started crying. Then she stopped when she saw Fon. She's shy at first, but warmed us to us. She called me "Auntie" and Sean "Uncle." The way she says it is sooo cute. She's only 2, but boy, her daddy's gonna have a hand full.

The next day we went to Disneyland at 10 am. It was awesome. We went on most of the big kid rides and watched Brianna go on the baby rides. Later that night we watched the Fantasmic! Show by Frontierland. It was amazing. That was followed by the "Remember... Dreams Come True" fireworks. The best I've ever seen. We finally left at 10:30 pm. What a day!

Riding the tram to get to the entrance of Disneyland.
